22 - 1 avocado, diced

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F.
02 - Toss fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
03 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned for about 5–6 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
04 - Add chopped onion and garlic to the beef; sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
05 - Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
06 - When fries are done, transfer them to an ovenproof platter or skillet.
07 - Evenly sprinkle shredded cheeses over the fries and spoon the beef mixture on top. Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce if using.
08 - Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
09 - Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, avocado, green onions, cilantro, and dollops of sour cream.
10 - Serve immediately while hot.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • Everything bakes on one sheet pan so cleanup is almost nonexistent
  • The seasoning blend on the fries makes them addictive even without toppings
  • You can customize toppings based on what your friends actually eat
02 -
  • Don't skip flipping the fries halfway through baking or they'll steam instead of crisp
  • Draining excess fat from the beef keeps the final dish from feeling greasy
  • Let the beef mixture cool slightly before piling it on or it might make the fries soggy
03 -
  • Use fresh jalapeños instead of pickled if you want a brighter, less acidic flavor
  • Sprinkle a little extra seasoning blend over the beef before baking for maximum flavor impact
