Beef Sliders Cheese Pickles (Printable)

Mini beef patties cooked and topped with cheddar and pickles in toasted slider buns.

# What You'll Need:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1.1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
02 - 1 tsp salt
03 - ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - ½ tsp garlic powder
05 - ½ tsp onion powder

→ Sliders Assembly

06 - 8 mini slider buns
07 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
08 - 16 dill pickle slices
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 tbsp ketchup
11 - 1 tbsp yellow mustard

# Directions:

01 - Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
02 - Combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
03 - Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small, flat patties slightly larger than the buns.
04 - Grill or pan-cook the patties for 2–3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
05 - In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover briefly to melt.
06 - Brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter and toast them, cut side down, on the grill or skillet until golden.
07 - Place a beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom bun, top with two pickle slices, and add ketchup or mustard if desired. Cap with the top bun.
08 - Serve immediately while warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • These cook in half the time of regular burgers but taste exactly like the ones from your favorite burger joint
  • The toasted buttery buns prevent the classic soggy bottom disaster that ruins so many homemade burgers
02 -
  • Never press down on the patties while they cook, unless you want dry sliders and a smoking mess all over your stove
  • The cheese melts best if you cover the pan completely for those final thirty seconds, creating a mini steam environment
03 -
  • Let the patties sit at room temperature for twenty minutes before cooking, which helps them cook evenly and stay juicy
  • If your buns are slightly stale, sprinkle them with a little water before toasting to revive them
