Air Fryer Lemon Chicken Bites (Printable)

Crispy, lemon-marinated chicken bites air-fried to golden perfection in just 30 minutes.

# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces

→ Marinade

02 - 2 tbsp olive oil
03 - 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
04 - 1 tbsp lemon zest (from about 1 lemon)
05 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 1 tsp dried oregano
07 - 1 tsp paprika
08 - 1/2 tsp salt
09 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

→ Garnish (optional)

10 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
11 - Lemon wedges

# Directions:

01 - Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until fully combined.
02 - Add chicken pieces to the marinade. Toss well to coat all surfaces. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor penetration.
03 - Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes before cooking.
04 - Place marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding, which prevents proper crisping.
05 - Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or turning pieces halfway through. Continue until chicken reaches golden-brown color and internal temperature of 165°F.
06 - Transfer chicken to a serving plate. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and accompany with lemon wedges for squeezing.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The lemon marinade keeps the chicken incredibly juicy while the outside gets perfectly crispy
  • Everything happens in one bowl and the air fryer does all the hard work
  • These disappear faster than any other appetizer I make
02 -
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the chicken will steam instead of getting crispy
  • Letting the chicken sit at room temperature for ten minutes before air frying helps it cook more evenly
03 -
  • Pat the chicken dry before adding it to the marinade so the sauce actually sticks
  • Let the chicken rest for five minutes after cooking so the juices redistribute
